To apply for a new PAN (Permanent Account Number) card in India, you’ll need the following documents:
Proof of Identity (POI)
You can provide one of the following documents:
- Aadhaar card
- Voter ID card
- Driving license
- Passport
- Ration card with photograph
- Arm’s license
- Photo ID card issued by the Central Government or State Government or Public Sector Undertaking
- Pensioner card with photograph

- Birth certificate issued by the municipal authority or any office authorized to issue Birth and Death Certificate by the Registrar of Births & Deaths or the Indian Consulate
- Pension payment order
- Marriage certificate issued by Registrar of Marriages
- Matriculation certificate
- Passport
- Driving license
- Domicile certificate issued by the government
- Affidavit sworn before a magistrate stating the date of birth

Individuals and Hindu Undivided Families (HUFs) – Indian Citizens

Non-Indian Citizens

- Copy of other national or citizenship Identification Number or Taxpayer Identification Number duly attested by “Apostille” (in respect of countries which are signatories to the Hague Convention of 1961) or by the Indian Embassy or High Commission or Consulate in the country where the applicant is located or authorised officials of overseas branches of Scheduled Banks registered in India.

List of documents required to apply for new PAN card ?
If you are applying for a new PAN card then you must have this document.

- You have to apply for PAN card through Voter Card. If you do not have Aadhar card then you can apply for PAN card. Your voter card should be from Assam, Meghalaya, Jammu and Kashmir. Aadhar is compulsory for other states.
What are the proofs required to change the name of PAN card holder?
When you change the name in your PAN card, you don’t know what proof to attach, if you change the full name of the PAN card holder, you have to give the copy of Aadhaar card and also you have to attach A proof, then your name will be changed. If you change some spelling in name, it is done only with Aadhaar card, if you change surname, Annexure-A has to be given along with Aadhaar.

What is the proof required for adding/changing father’s name in PAN card?
If your PAN card has been made for free from the website of your e-filing income tax department, then how can you add father’s name to that PAN card, or change father’s name in your PAN card. If you add or change father name from UTI website then you have given names of some documents in father name proof as mentioned in above image it seems you can change father name in pan card as you thought Was for father’s name proof. What is required to change the date of birth?
If there is a difference of few days or few months in your pan card, pan card and aadhar card then you can change the date of birth in pan card only by copy of aadhar card, if you have a difference of few years, then you can change the date of birth in aadhar card Can change date of birth. With the card you can also apply 10th marksheet or voter card id, or passport, or driving license or birth certificate, if you have only aadhar card then you have to give annexure A with aadhar card then your DOB will change .
When we fill pan card correction form, we have problem with identity proof, DOB proof, because many times date of birth or name in our Aadhar card is not correct, so when we select any other proof instead of Aadhar card.
